Getting started
What happens in the introductory call?
This is a relaxed 30-minute conversation where we get to know each other. You'll share what brings you to coaching, and I'll explain how I work. There's no pressure—just a chance to see if there's a good fit, ask questions, and explore what kind of support might be most helpful right now.
Do I need a formal diagnosis to work with you?
Not at all. Many of the people I work with are self-identified or questioning, and some are formally diagnosed. My approach is built around your lived experience, not a label. If coaching feels like the right support for you, that's what matters most.
What if I'm not sure which type of coaching I need?
That's really common—and completely fine. We'll figure it out together. You might be navigating a mix of things: work challenges, leadership responsibilities, burnout, career decisions, or self-confidence. Coaching is flexible and can adapt as your needs evolve over time.
Can I try a session before committing?
Yes. After the introductory call, you're welcome to book a one-off session to get a feel for how coaching works with me. Some people know they're ready to commit to a package, while others prefer to try a session first—both are absolutely okay.
How long does coaching typically last?
That depends on your goals and what you want from the process. Many people benefit from 12 or more 1 hr sessions, often spread over three or more months. Some continue longer for ongoing support, while others pause and return for top-ups when needed. There's no one-size-fits-all.
What's the difference between the intro call and first session?
The intro call is a no-strings 30-minute chat to explore if we're a good fit. The first session is a full 60–90 minute deep dive where we start working on your goals and set the foundation for our coaching relationship.
2. Coaching approach
What is neurodivergent coaching?
Neurodivergent coaching supports the unique wiring of ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, and otherwise neurodivergent individuals. It's strengths-based, non-pathologising, and focused on helping you thrive in alignment with your natural processing style. It's about working with your brain, not against it.
How is this different from therapy, mentoring, or consulting?
Coaching is future-focused and goal-oriented. I don't diagnose, treat, or tell you what to do. Instead, we partner to explore your thinking, uncover insights, and experiment with new strategies. It's a collaborative process that puts you in the driver's seat with me as your thinking partner.
How is your coaching tailored to neurodivergent minds?
I bring a deep understanding of how neurodivergent brains work—executive function, sensory processing, energy regulation, interest-based nervous systems—and I design coaching around those patterns. Sessions are flexible, validating, and practical. We use tools that meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure to "mask."
Do you incorporate other modalities?
Yes, if and when they're helpful. This might include somatic tools, values-based coaching, mindfulness, narrative work, or strategies from CBT and executive function coaching. Everything is adapted to suit your neurotype, learning style, and goals.
3. The Coaching Experience
What happens in a typical coaching session?
Sessions are highly personalised but tend to follow a natural flow. We'll check in, explore what's most present for you, reflect on progress, and co-create practical steps forward. It's a space for honest conversation, deep insight, and action that fits who you are.
Is there "homework" between sessions?
Only if it's useful to you. There's no pressure or expectation. Between sessions, you might reflect on insights, try out a new strategy, or experiment with something we discussed. Some clients like structured actions, others prefer gentle curiosity—either way, we work with your style.
What if I have trouble focusing during sessions?
That's completely okay. Coaching with me is designed to be neurodivergent-friendly. You're welcome to fidget, move around, doodle, go for a walk, or take breaks. The goal is to create a space where your brain and body feel comfortable enough to think and explore.
How do you accommodate different communication styles?
We work with your communication preferences—whether that's talking things through, using visuals or metaphors, journaling, or making sense of things in non-linear ways. I also offer optional scribing (real-time or post-session) so you can focus on the conversation and still capture what matters.
What if I don't make progress as quickly as I'd like?
Progress isn't always linear—especially when dealing with complex systems, masking, burnout, or big transitions. We track what's meaningful to you and celebrate the shifts that matter, whether it's a mindset change, a new boundary, or just having more clarity. We'll move at your pace, with compassion and strategy.
How do you measure coaching success?
Success is co-defined. At the start, we talk about what "better" looks like for you—confidence, clarity, energy, impact, relationships, whatever matters most. We check in regularly to notice what's shifting and adjust the coaching focus if needed. You set the goals; I help you get there.

How is confidentiality managed?
Strictly. Individual coaching is always confidential. In organisational settings, I share only anonymised insights unless the individual gives explicit permission. Psychological safety is non-negotiable in this work.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. I offer a flexible, low-shame cancellation policy designed with executive function in mind. Just give as much notice as you can, and we'll find another time that works.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes—confidentiality is core to psychological safety. What we talk about stays between us, unless you request otherwise or there's a legal obligation to disclose (e.g., safety concerns).
Do you offer reduced rates?
I hold a small number of sliding-scale spots and can provide invoices for employer reimbursement if coaching is part of your professional development. Just ask—I'll do my best to help.
