"I am an entirely different person to who I was when I started coaching."
"I was in a very bad place when we started. In a sense I felt I was heading somewhere I couldn't return from — that the internal patterns driving my thinking would ultimately take over and affect everything. That's not where I am now.
The most powerful tool I took from the work was a simple question: does this serve me? When you find yourself in a spiral, being able to pause and ask that — the answer is almost always no. From there you can think more clearly about what to do instead, rather than continuing in a self-destructive direction. That one shift has changed how I handle stress considerably.
Professionally, I've stopped taking things at work personally. Where I used to interpret feedback as an attack on my character — which led to doubt, sensitivity, and eroded confidence — I now have the perspective to separate the two. I'm far more confident post-coaching than I was before.
The broader shift has been in resilience. I used to get overwhelmed easily — by deadlines, future plans, anything with pressure attached. That would trigger a spiral that left me unprepared and unproductive. I can now tackle problems head on, which has opened up both personal and professional growth in ways that wouldn't have been accessible before.
What stood out about the coaching was Jason's ability to see things you can't see yourself — to find the learning in a stressful situation and help remove the patterns that were making it worse. That calm, clear-eyed approach is something I've genuinely tried to carry forward.
I'm now in a position where I can help others as well as myself. That's not something I could have said when we started."
